7月10日に第11回学生ゼミを行いました。
今回のゼミでは、
Chapter21: Dichotomous Predicted Variable (M2 妹背)
を扱いました。
タイトルの”Dichotomous”という単語の響きが独特で、最初話題になりました。
今回のテーマは私の学部時代の研究テーマとも少し関係のあるもので、当時のことを思い出しました。
今学期の学生ゼミもあと一回。もう一息です。

ICCSA 2018, Best Paper Award.
The 18th International Conference on Computational Science and Applications (ICCSA 2018) has been held on July 2 – 5, 2018 in Melbourne, Australia. 274 papers have been presented during this successful edition of ICCSA in collaboration with the Monash University, Australia.
Dr. Perez Joan presented a paper entitled: “Multiple Fabric Assessment: Focus on Method Versatility and Flexibility” authored by Araldi A (University of Côte d’Azur, UMR 7300 ESPACE-CNRS)., Perez J (The University of Tokyo, Regional Planning and Information Laboratory)., Fusco G (University of Côte d’Azur, UMR 7300 ESPACE-CNRS) and Fuse T (The University of Tokyo, Regional Planning and Information Laboratory).
The paper won a BEST PAPER AWARD related to the Conference Tracks, a distinction accompanied with a price of 500,00 EUR sponsored by the scientific publisher Springer.

第10回学生ゼミを行いました
7月3日に第10回学生ゼミを行いました。
今回のゼミでは、
Chapter19: Metric Predicted Variable with One Nominal Predictor (M1 鶴野)
を扱いました。
今年度の学生ゼミでは英語で発表・議論を行うという新しい試みをしていますが、
最初の頃と比べると、みんな自然に英語を使えるようになってきたなと感じます。
前期の学生ゼミも残り2回となりましたが、引き続きベイズ統計に対する更なる理解と語学力の向上を図っていきたいと思います。
