5/8(水)に、Sセメスターの第2回学生ゼミが開催されました。

今回のゼミから、ストラング『線形代数イントロダクション』の輪読が始まりました。輪読の初回である今回のゼミでは、修士1年の臼杵さんから「4.1 4つの部分空間の直交性」と「4.2 射影」について発表していただきました。

発表の後、全員で教科書に載っている挑戦問題に取り組みました。

次回は、5/15(水)の予定です。

Today, the second student seminar of the S seminar wad held on Wednesday, May 8th.

From today’s seminar onward, we’ve kicked off a reading group on Strang’s Introduction to Linear Algebra. In this student seminar, M1 student Usuki-san gave a presentation on section4.1 “Orthogonality of the Four Subspaces” and section4.2 “Projections”.

After the presentation, everyone worked on the challenge problems from the textbook.

The next student seminar will be held on Wednesday, May 15th.

本日、Sセメスターの第1回学生ゼミが開催されました。

前半はM1大野さんから、見やすいスライドの作り方に関する発表がありました。
過去の先輩方や大野さん自身の最終発表のスライドを見ながら、それぞれのスライドの良い点、悪い点について話し合いました。
その後、4人ずつのグループに分かれて、架空の研究背景、テーマを説明するスライドを作成するワークショップを行いました。それぞれの班ごとに創意工夫が見られて大変有意義なゼミになりました。

後半はM1武田さんから、GitHubやPyTorchなどの研究を進めていくに当たり必要なツールに関する説明がありました。

来週以降の学生ゼミでは、ストラング『線形代数イントロダクション』の輪読を進めていく予定です。

Today, the first student seminar of the S semester was held.
In the first half, M1 student Ono-san gave a presentation on how to create easy-to-understand slides.
While reviewing slides from past senior students as well as her own final presentation, we discussed the strengths and weaknesses of each.
Afterward, we divided into groups of four and held a workshop in which each team created a slide explaining a fictional research background and theme. Each group showed creativity and originality, making the seminar highly productive and meaningful.
In the second half, M1 student Takeda-san gave an overview of essential tools for research, including GitHub and PyTorch.
From next week onward, the student seminar will proceed with a reading group on Introduction to Linear Algebra by Strang.

初めまして、４月から地域/情報研究室に配属になりましたB4の中尾です。

4/24(木)に、第０回学生ゼミが行われました。
M2の嶋野さんから、地域/情報研究室のこれまでの研究内容や、卒論生の研究のスケジュールについて説明いただきました。また、昨年度卒業されたM1の臼杵さん・大野さん・笹木さん・武田さんから、卒業研究の内容についてお話しいただきました。

今セメスターは、G. ストラングの『線形代数イントロダクション』を輪読する予定です。次回の学生ゼミから、研究室のみんなで読み進めていこうと思います！

The 0th student seminar was held on April 24th.

Shimano-san(M2) explained the schedule for the year and recent research topics of the lab.
Usuki-san, Ono-san, Sasaki-san, and Takeda-san(M1) presented their graduation research.

This semester, we will read G. Strang’s Introduction to Linear Algebra (2009) in student seminars.

今週の4/15（火）に4月から新しく地域/情報研究室に加わった新B4の井野くん・上野くん・中尾くんからゼミにて自己紹介をしてもらい、夜には歓迎会を実施しました。
3人とも個性の違う経歴、興味を持ちながら、この研究室を選んだ理由と、これから向き合うことになる研究への意欲や熱意が伝わる発表でした。
B4の研究テーマが決まるのはこれからですが、学生ゼミは来週から始まります。僕自身M2になり身が引き締まる思いです。今年度の地域/情報研究室メンバーみんなで一緒に頑張っていきましょう！！

On Tuesday, April 15, we had new B4 students Ino-kun, Ueno-kun, and Nakao-kun, who joined the Regional Planning and Information Lab, introduce themselves at the seminar, and we held a welcome party in the evening.
All three students had unique backgrounds and interests, and their presentations conveyed their reasons for choosing this laboratory, as well as their motivation for the research.
The student seminar will start next week, so let’s all do our best together as members of this year’s Regional Planning and Information Lab!

3月24日(月)に修士学生の修了式が行われ、修士二年の小林が修了しました。

布施先生をはじめ、安田先生、石田さん、研究室の先輩・後輩など、大変多くの方々に支えられた研究生活でした。研究自体は自分の興味のある分野を探求し、3年間楽しく続けていくことができました。本当にありがとうございました。
